 | Category A Settlements: |
Identified areas that possess a range of services, facilities and public transport opportunities that would permit residents to occupy a reasonably self-contained community
without the need to use a private motor car to reach those services in larger settlements. The Council will seek new housing allocations within and on the edge of these settlements.
(see policy  WOS2 of the Wokingham District Local Plan document)
|
 | Category B Settlements: |
Identified areas that have a reasonable amount of development in a compact form and may be physically and socially cohesive, but possess a lower range of basic services.
Only very limited infilling and small windfall development will be permitted in these areas.
(see policy  WOS2 of the Wokingham District Local Plan document)

 | Potential Development Limits: |
Potential development limits identified through a review of the settlement boundaries in line with the advice in former PPG7 (paragraph 4.16), following recommendations by the Part 2 Local Plan Inspector.
Please note that the approach and potential results - as detailed on the council’s website - do not represent its policy and are therefore not relevant for determining planning applications.
