Church of England parish boundaries: The boundaries of the Church of England parishes, which are used in order to determine one's right to vote in Parish Church Council (PCC) elections, as well as a couple's right to be married in the parish church.
Parish boundaries: Official electoral boundaries used in determining the area that a parish council oversees. As opposed to Church of England parish church councils, parish councils are purely governmental and represent one level down from the Borough council e.g. Swallowfield Parish Council. See our parish and town councils page for more information.
Ward boundaries: Wards are the areas that Borough councillors represent in their role at the Civic offices.
Other map symbols: The background maps that our own data is displayed on are owned by Ordnance Survey. If you would like to find out more about the features on these maps, please visit the Ordnance Survey website.
